Interested in joining us for Open Play? Here’s a short video on how to find Junqueiro.

  • Clube Pickleball Lisboa plays at the Associação Moradores do Bairro do Junqueiro at 237A Rua Benguela in Parede. Various map programs (google maps) incorrectly route you further southwest on the street. Follow the street northeast toward the train tracks and away from the ocean until you see the green fenced soccer field on your left.  Go through the green gate.

  • CPL is a nonprofit organization that does not own a physical pickleball club with courts to rent.  We rent space, set up courts, and arrange Open Play at specific times for our members and guests.

  • All events or Open Play arranged by Clube Pickleball Lisboa have paddles to loan at no additional charge.

  • You can play at CPL events for a very nominal fee. For non-CPL members the cost is €5 for 3 hours and only €1 for CPL members for 3 hours.

  • Clube Pickleball Lisboa offers Introduction to Pickleball classes at our CPL Pickleball Academy at the Bairro do Junqueiro in Parede on Wednesdays from 9h00 to 12h00.  You can join our CPL Academy group on the Team Reach app with code PickAcad2025. The cost of Academy sessions is €15 for non-members and €5 for members. If the time or location doesn’t work for you, one of our coaches can arrange a private or group session at another location to teach you to play.

  • No.  Pickleball has very specific rules, scoring, court positioning and differences from other racquet sports that require you to have an Introduction class prior to joining our Open Play sessions.

  • No. You are required to sign up for the event on the CPL Team Reach application using group code PB2026LX.  If you show up without registering for the event you will not be allowed to play. If the event is full, please join the waitlist and watch to see if you move off the list. If you have signed up and your plans change, please change your status to ‘no’ to allow space for other players.

  • You can become a member of the club by filling out the registration form and paying the fee. For more information go to the member page on this website.

  • You need to ensure you have proper footwear with a good grip; a water bottle (water is available); sun protection and eye protection, which can be as simple as a hat. And finally, a credit card to make payment (The Academy Classes need to be paid 24 hours in advance; instructions are on TeamReach.)
